What is a Joint Economic Development District (JEDD)?
A Joint Economic Development District (JEDD) is a specific township area that has partnered with a city to share the benefits, costs, and responsibilities of development. Harpersfield Township and the City of Geneva have partnered to foster growth and promote the development of the interchange at Interstate 90 and Ohio State Route 534.
The Three Harpersfield – Geneva JEDDs were originally created in the 2000’s to initiate infrastructure projects that would spur growth along the Route 534 corridor.
